Teaching

Woodwinds Professor, Campbell University     

AJ’s contribution to Campbell University includes teaching private lessons on all woodwind instruments, directing the Campbell University Woodwind Ensemble, instructing the Woodwind Methods class, and teaching a Music Appreciation class. Not only does she prepare students for the requirements of their major, but she provides them with a solid foundation which will lead them to flourishing careers. 

Woodwinds Instructor, Resurrection Music School

Currently instructing at Resurrection Music School, AJ maintains a successful studio of students of many ages and levels of development. She develops a program of study for each individual, catering to each student’s needs, personality and learning style.                         

Teaching philosophy 

It is AJ’s conviction that the teacher’s role is to help students discover their own gifts and guide them in fulfilling their own potential, thereby showing students how to successfully create and meet goals and developing a reservoir of confidence from which students can later draw upon.

Program Assistant, Town of Cary Cultural Resources Division

 AJ has also served as a Program Assistant for the Town of Cary Cultural Resources Division. An integral member of this team, AJ was responsible for marketing and advertising, coordinating concerts, and assisting in planning special events.
